Snake Oil Packaging

This project was given to us at the end of my first year in Graphic Design and Production. Staff members came in from around the college campus to present an item special to them that they wanted a us to create a package for. When an item was presented that was interesting, we contacted that faculty member and set up an interview to see if our design abilities fit their needs. We then measured, weighed, and sketched our products to design the perfect package. I came up with the idea to create a re-usable package. One that can present the product, protect it, be used for storage, and for travel. The package itself it meant to look like an old, leather briefcase. I created my own textures in photoshop to use and edited them to look old, cracked, and patinated.
